Letter from Andrews Desk

Mandy and I are settling in well and deeply appreciate the love we have received from the CVCF family.  We look forward to what the Lord has in store for us as a church impacting our nation and further afield.  We have our conference coming up (16-19 May) and are involved through Vineyard SA, with Vineyard churches around the nation as well as international Vineyards where we assist with the pastoral care of leaders, leadership development, discipleship, training, and church planting.

We have a dream that God has given us.  This dream calls us into action. Remember we co-labour with the Lord into our destiny. My question to you, is will you dream and co-labour alongside us?  Let us dream together and  “…all whose spirit the Lord stirred up to go up to build the house of the Lord everyone whose heart God had moved… brought freewill offerings for the temple of God…” (Ezra 1:4-5)

I would like to remind you that we have started a Building and Maintenance Fund for our church, pray with us, dream with us, and give toward our Solar Inverter System, Lawnmower, Media Equipment, cameras, audio and screens in our church, and Upgrade of the generator, Refurbishment of the prayer room and kitchen, Aircons for the Tots Zone and more.  We will be raising R1.5 million to resolve maintenance matters and make these upgrades.  If you would like an opportunity to participate with us and bring a freewill offering, use the CVCF Banking details with the reference B and M Fund so resources can be accurately allocated.  Remember that this is not your tithe, those are for the care and support of our staff, running of our church and ministry-related expenses.   All the money, time, and resources we give are to be freely given, as the Spirit leads. The trick for many is noticing and obeying “when the Spirit leads.” God has given us everything we have; if He moves our hearts (Exodus 35:29), then we should cheerfully give (2 Corinthians 9:7).

A word of encouragement for you:

While the battle may be on, remember that God gives us a destiny that is on the other side of the giants. One strategy is to fight for your destiny with the prophetic words that have been spoken over your life. While in the battle remember that your words declare where you are going.  But sometimes the decisions we need to make are not easy and the Lord may lead us on a different path than we expected.  If you only choose the easy option you will have nothing valuable in your life, sometimes difficulties expand your life and bring definition to who you are.

Will you dream and co-labour alongside us into our destiny?

Love and Blessings

Andrew
