A Kingdom Shift

Friends,

Today I pray for a breakthrough, a change, a shift, for each person reading this that we would find for ourselves a personal kingdom shift.  In the world today there are a lot of problems, but we are kingdom people.  I pray for a breakthrough, a wave of change in your life, that you would discover a new direction, a new favour, a new momentum, and a new anointing.

Jesus said, seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. (Mat 6:33) and told us to pray, your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (Mat 6:10) We seek His Kingdom, we pray for His Kingdom to come and when we do, we are crying out for His future kingdom to come now.  What does that future coming into the present look like?  In one simple verse:  He will remove all of their sorrows, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. For the old world and its evils are gone forever. (Rev 21:4) The old world and its evils are gone, that is what we pray for.

There is a practical part for us to play in certain areas.  In the area of the economy of our lives, our families, and our community, we can make some shifts to walk in God’s blessings.  Think of your finance like bread and seed.  Could it be that some of us are eating our seed?  You cannot plant your bread, that is what you need to live, if you plant your bread, it will bear no fruit.  You need to plant your seed.  Could it be that some of us are eating our seed?  If we eat our seed, there can be no multiplication and fruit and eventually even our bread will not be enough.  Our seed is the tenth that belongs to God, our tithe.  That is where the blessing and multiplication comes in: when we bring back to God what belongs to Him.  The Lord says it this way in His word, Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in my house, and thus put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts; see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you an overflowing blessing. (Mal 3:10) Another version says, see if I will not open to you the torrents of heaven!  Who of us can say that we do not need the torrents of heaven in our lives? I know I need torrents of His future kingdom coming into my life, my family’s life, our church’s life, and the lives of every person in our nation.  Could I encourage you not to eat your seed but to sow your seed.  Because if you seed it, your will see it!

I leave you with Paul’s words from The Passion Paraphrase bible.  Here’s my point. A stingy sowerwill reap a meagre harvest, but the one who sows from a generous spirit will reap an abundant harvest. Let giving flow from your heart, not from a sense of religious duty. Let it spring up freely from the joy of giving—all because God loves hilarious generosity! Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do. (2 Corinthians 9:6-8)

I trust that the Lord will bless you and yours abundantly as you sow into His Kingdom.  Remember, do not eat your seed, sow it, because if you seed it, you will see it.  I do pray for a breakthrough, a wave of change, finding a new direction, a new favour, a new momentum, and a new anointing in your life.

May Christ’s love and peace be your portion.

Andrew
